Floating Architectural Spaces at Boston Manor Hosue opens with a drinks reception on Friday 11 September.
Alec & Franz present Floating Architectural Spaces, a body of work spanning original line drawings, floating prints and immersive, interactive installations.
Artist duo Alec Boreham and Francesco Vitali draw on their shared appreciation of classical art, music and architecture, transforming meticulous digital line drawings of historic buildings into sensory experiences. Inspired by the ornate drama of the Baroque, they explore contemporary themes through immersive works that transcend time and space.
Following their 2024 launch at Bermondsey Project Space, the duo returns to London with a site-specific exhibition at Boston Manor House, celebrating the heritage of this remarkable Jacobean architectural gem.
The exhibition includes works inspired directly by the house, alongside a collaboration with JCA London Fashion Academy, where students respond to the relationship between art, fashion and architecture. A dedicated chapter also celebrates the late Queen Elizabeth II on the centenary of her birth, through vibrant prints inspired by the colours she favoured during her reign.
The exhibition continues until 25th October, open Tuesday to Sunday, 12–5pm.
