There are several ways to get involved with Boston Manor House, from volunteering with us, joining us at the next West London Volunteer Fair or working with us.
Volunteer with us
Volunteering is a great way to get involved with Boston Manor House and meet new people, learn new skills and share your knowledge. Over 100 volunteers add a wealth of value to the House life throughout the year, contributing to our activities, events and projects.
Volunteers range from university students to graduates, job seekers, people in between roles, workers, carers, parents and retired people. You must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer at the House, however we are launching a youth volunteering offer later on in the year for people who are 15+.
Our current volunteer opportunities are:
Digital Marketing
Visitor Experience – including Tour leaders and Evaluation
Events
Learning & Engagement
Walks Leader
Research
Costumed Interpretation
Photography
If you want to give back to the community, gain some valuable experience, put your talents to a good cause or simply make new friends, come and volunteer with us! You can complete this form or drop in to Reception during our opening hours to collect a paper interest form. If you have any questions, drop us a line on bostonmanorhouse@hounslow.gov.uk.
West London Volunteer Fair
Are you interested in developing skills, meeting like-minded people or supporting your local community? A number of West London cultural organisations partner every year to deliver the West London Volunteer Fair. This is a great way to connect with local organisations and learn more about opportunities near you. Discover more about the next West London Volunteer Fair here.
Work with us
We have a number of paid opportunities coming up for apprenticeships, internships and university student placements. As part of our National Lottery Heritage Fund project we want to support people early in their careers so they can establish themselves in the cultural sector.
Details of these opportunities and any other jobs will be advertised here, so please keep checking.
Work experience placements
We are working with local secondary schools and charities to create opportunities that enhance young people’s employability skills, knowledge and experience in the cultural sector. We will launch the first work experience placements in 2025. Please get in touch at bostonmanorhouse@hounslow.gov.uk if you are interested in arranging a placement with us for then.
